Amy found yoga in high school when she complained about every other activity in gym class so much that her teacher let her try something different. Soon it became a complement to her physical exercise routine, and eventually a deep spiritual practice that has allowed Amy to watch her life unfold in ways she never imagined. Yoga was always that “something different” that allowed her to explore more deeply whatever she engaged in, whether it be gym class, physical exercise, or just being a human. After a family tragedy sent Amy spiraling into a place where she was lost, yoga was there to both help her explore that spiral and light the path back to herself.

Inspired by the transformation Amy saw in her own life, she sought ways to bring this practice to others struggling to get their groove back. She completed a 200-hour teacher training with Onyx Yoga Studio and honors all of her teachers, past, present, and future.

Amy’s warm smile and big heart bring a sense of peace to the room. Her classes are a thoughtful blend of pranayama and mindful movement. By offering modifications, challenges, a calm presence, and a laugh here and there, Amy allows her students to trust their individual selves and to safely find their most authentic practice. Come and find your inner glow!
